The Scrub Daddy Dish Daddy has been selected as a finalist in the Excellence in Housewares Awards 2022!
We are thrilled to be selected as finalists in the Home Organisation category in the Excellence in Housewares Awards 2022! After Dish Daddy was launched in April this year, it was met with a brilliant response from the Scrub Daddy cleaning community and quickly became the go to dish wand. We are ecstatic that it is been recognised as a home and kitchen staple.
The Judging
The product finalists were selected after under-going the scrutiny of a stellar judging panel, made up entirely of respected retail buyers who each cast their votes.
The judging panel included buyers from John Lewis, Lakeland, Robert Dyas, Borough Kitchen, Fenwick, Harrods, Harts of Stur, Morley Stores, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Next, and a host of independent specialists from across the country.
Dish Daddy Development
After the development and success of the original Scrub Daddy, we saw a real opportunity to develop a tool which has all the benefits of a Scrub Daddy including the unique FlexTexture material, plus additional unique features which would improve the consumer experience. Looking at similar available products we soon realised that there was limited choice in the category, and we set about creating a tool that not only had improved functionality but also looked great on the side of the sink.
The original idea and concept for a Scrub Daddy Dish Wand was formed here in the UK. After some preliminary trials and prototyping the project was handed to Scrub Daddy US where the inhouse design team finessed the product and made the Dish Daddy a true Scrub Daddy product!
